DAC55 High temperature die steel DAC55, one of the Hot Work Die Casting Mould Steel, is an improvement on DAC (SKD61). It retains the advantages of DAC and has better heat resistance. Suitable for large, high strength die casting mold. DAC55 is a 5Cr die steel with high strength and toughness, which is improved on the basis of DAC steel. Compared with DAC, DAC55 not only retains the advantages of DAC, but also has better thermal cracking resistance. This steel has excellent hardening properties, and the hardness can reach 50~53 HRC. DAC55 steel has good toughness, ductility and crack resistance. Chromium is added to improve the fatigue resistance and toughness of the die. Suitable for large, complex, precision die-casting molds, high-performance die-casting molds, extrusion molds and so on. Standard heat treatment: quenching 1010-1030℃, tempering 550-640℃.
